FBC Fundraiser
The Foreign Buyer’s Club is an online shop that was started in 1987 to offer various food items to the foreign population and others who enjoy foreign products. It is now possible to get many items in the regular stores in Tsukuba (such as Yamaya and Seibu), but some things are still a bit tricky to find (such as cheese, diet products, and certain cleaners).
Twice a year, the Foreign Buyer’s Club donates 5% of the orders it receives to schools and other non-profit organizations. Tsukuba International School’s latest Fundraising Week is April 13-19, 2008.
Any orders placed during this week and designated as being applied to “Tsukuba International School” will result in FBC donating 5% of the amount of the order to the school.
If you are thinking of placing an FBC order, please consider doing it this week and designating “Tsukuba International School” as the recipient of the 5% benefit. It will not cost you anything extra and the order will be shipped directly to you, not to the school.
Orders can come from anyone living anywhere in Japan, so if you have friends somewhere else in Japan who might be placing an order this week, ask them to add “Tsukuba International School” to their order form.
Don’t forget to write “Tsukuba International School” on your order form.
Thank you for your consideration!
